Your doula will get to know you and personalize their support to best meet your needs.
Two prenatal visits with your doula so you can communicate your birth and postpartum preferences. We recommend the first visit be in-person and scheduled between 28 and 32 weeks gestation. The second visit can be in-person or virtual and should be scheduled no later than 36 weeks gestation.
In-person support throughout your entire labor and birth
Two postpartum visits with your birth doula to process your birth and ask any postpartum questions that might arise about infant feeding, early newborn care, and your general well being. We recommend the first visit be virtual and the second in-person or virtual.
Screening for postpartum mental health and anxiety disorders to give you immediate access to additional support and resources.

How It Works
Find the birth doula who is right for you
Interview up to three potential doulas to find the doula who is right for you.
Membership
After you interviews, each doula will send you an email. Simply click the link of your chosen doula and opt in for your membership.
Your Prenatal Appointments
Get ready for your birth. You’ll have two prenatal appointments; one between 28-32 weeks and the second no later than 36 weeks.
Labor and Birth
As soon as you think you might be in labor, contact your birth doula through the AZOVA app. Your doula will be at your side through labor and delivery.
Your Postpartum Appointments
Your doula will help you know how to care for yourself and your baby during your two postpartum visits. Schedule your first visit within a week of your birth and the second 4 to 5 weeks postpartum.
